John Assadi is an attorney who specializes in the representation of foreign employees of multi-national corporations, international entertainers, scientists, and professional athletes. His clients have included The Soros Foundations, The U.S. Soccer Federation, Columbia Artists Management, Inc., various Olympians, professional soccer players in the EPL, Bundesliga and La Liga and world champion athletes, and the Rainforest Foundation. He is also a founder and director of InterFysio, LLC, a healthcare staffing company that employs physical therapists, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. He has held a lifetime passion for soccer and has served on the board since 2009.

Wilson Calle, Treasurer
Controller, BlueMar Capital Management LLC
Wilson played soccer all through his childhood in the same league our South Bronx United teams currently play in. He began volunteering for South Bronx United in 2012 and has helped coach the travel teams as well as provide goalkeeper training to each teams respective goalkeepers. Wilson currently works for Tiger Veda Management LLC, a hedge fund located in New York City and prior to that, he worked for an accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He joined the Board of Directors as a Treasurer in 2013. He hopes to utilize his background in accounting and finance to build out the back office/operations of the organization.

Dave Hahn, Chair
Vice President, Two Sigma Investments
Dave played soccer throughout his childhood in New Jersey and is dismayed at how soccer has become a pay-to-play sport in most communities. As a result, he is passionate about bringing the beautiful game to the South Bronx. Dave received a degree in philosophy from Columbia University and now works at Two Sigma Investments after serving as a senior recruiter for Grady Levkov and Co. He also DJs on the local music scene and is an avid guitarist and manager of the band Dub is a Weapon. Dave has been on the board since 2009 and served as board chair since 2012.

Jordan Kessler
Director of Development, Vera Institute of Justice
Jordan Kessler is the Director of Development at the Vera Institute of Justice, a leading non-profit organization devoted to building and improving justice systems that ensure fairness, promote safety, and strengthen communities. Previously, Jordan worked as New York Director of Major Gifts for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Before that, he helped launch the Stax Museum of American Soul Music and monitored extremist groups for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). A native of Chicago, Jordan has lived in New York City since 1989 and received his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. He and his wife Sasha are NYCFC Founding Members, and he writes for Hudson River Blue, SB Nation’s NYCFC blog. Jordan joined the Board of Directors in 2016.

Daniel Kraut
Senior Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
Daniel is a an assurance senior manager in PwC's New York Metro Retail & Consumer practice and currently serves as the lead engagement manager for several of PwC's Fortune 500 assurance engagements. Daniel is actively involved in PwC's National Retail & Consumer practice assisting with the development of solutions to current accounting and auditing related trends and themes. In 2014, Daniel was selected to participate in the PwC My Genesis Park program, PwC’s global leadership development program specifically designed for high potential, top-performing Senior Managers. Daniel received his Bachelor of Business Administration-Accounting from Loyola University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants. He joined the Board of Directors in 2015.

Jon Lee
Vice President, PIMCO
Jon is a Vice President responsible for sales data project management and business analysis at PIMCO. Prior to PIMCO, Jon led web and mobile initiatives for a diverse array of companies in the corporate, educational, and non-profit sectors, including Harvard University, Putnam Investments, and GBC Health. His involvement in corporate social responsibility, as well as his appreciation for international football, began over 20 years ago, when Jon was a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He has also served in the US Peace Corps, mentored students through Year Up, and has managed several events for PIMCO Foundation since 2012. Jon is an NYCFC founding member and season ticket-holder, and strongly believes that New York is #blue. He joined the Board of Directors in 2016.

Gareth Maguire
Senior Vice President, Macquarie Group
Gareth is a finance professional who specializes in private equity investments in the infrastructure and real estate sectors. He has spent much of his life playing sports, including many years of soccer in England and Australia. Gareth also spent six years living in Asia, primarily across Korea and China, working on the financing and development of essential infrastructure assets. Over his 11 years working at Macquarie Group, Gareth has been an active participant in the Macquarie Foundation’s activities in the various countries in which he has lived, and led many of that foundation’s activities in his time in Asia. Gareth joined South Bronx United's Board of Directors in 2016.

R. Derek McKechnie
Managing Partner, Lucas Group
Derek began volunteering with South Bronx United in 2010 and has helped coach a wide variety of age groups. He is an a managing partner for a recruiting firm specializing in financial services space. He attended Connecticut College where he graduated in 2008 with a focus on Government, Theater, and Economics. Derek moved to NYC a week after graduation and hasn’t looked back since. He is an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan and season ticket holder for the New York Red Bulls. When he isn't on the soccer pitch, he can be found cheering on his favorite sports teams and spending time with his friends. Derek has also served on the SBU Junior Board.

Pranav Sawjiany, Vice Chair
Senior Associate, BlackRock
Pranav, a lifelong soccer fan, has volunteered with South Bronx United since 2010. He helped coordinate the recreational program, coached multiple age groups in the rec league and is a member of the SBU Junior Board. He is currently a Senior Associate at BlackRock in New York and previously worked at Morgan Stanley. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and and M.S in Financial Engineering from Cornell University. Having lived in several countries including India, Belgium, South Africa and Japan, Pranav loves how the beautiful game brings people from diverse cultures and backgrounds together, just like SBU does in the South Bronx community. One day, Pranav also hopes to get his USSF coaching license.

Andrew So
Executive Director, South Bronx United, Inc.
South Bronx United merges Andrew's passions for soccer, education, and community development. He co-founded South Bronx United in 2009 with his wife Steph while teaching mathematics and special education at New Day Academy, a public secondary school in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx. He has also served as a math instructional coach in New York City public schools and worked with Bronx youth in the other capacities from a camp counselor to athletic coach to special education administrator. Andrew holds a “D” coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation and coached South Bronx United travel soccer teams until 2014. He received his Bachelor’s of Science from Stanford University and earned a Masters of Science in Education from the Bank Street College of Education in New York. He is an alumnus of the We Are The Bronx Fellowship, a partnership between the CAUSE-NY of the Jewish Community Relations Council, Hostos Community College, and the Bronx Borough Office. He is a former trustee of the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League and is currently the chair of the Bronx Nonprofit Coalition.

Steph So
Vice President, Ralph Lauren
Steph co-founded South Bronx United in 2009, drawing on her passion for education and community development causes both domestic and worldwide. She has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat New Orleans and Amigos de las Americas and has also supported a Mother's Wish in the Dominican Republic. Steph formerly worked consultant at Bain and Company and was the Director of Strategy and New Business Development at The Estée Lauder Companies before becoming an Executive Director of Global Skincare Marketing at Estée Lauder. She also worked as Head of International Branding for ShopBop.com, a leading online apparel and accessory retailer. Steph received her Bachelor's degree from Stanford University and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. She has also served as a Board Member for the Manhattan Country School.

Hanan Thabet
Assistant Director, Institute of International Education
Hanan works in the field of educational development and student exchange at the Institute of International Education’s global headquarters in New York, where she is a project manager overseeing a diverse portfolio of corporate funded scholarship programs. Prior to joining IIE, Hanan lived in Egypt for 6 years where she completed her bachelor’s degree and worked as a teacher at a private international school in Cairo. Hanan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo a Master of Arts in Near East Studies from New York University. Hanan’s love for soccer started at an early age, after attending several World Cup games with her parents when the event was hosted in the U.S. in 1994. Hanan joined the board in 2014.

Kerry Van Voris
Director of Talent, Madrona Venture Group
An avid soccer player since the age of six, Kerry was a high-school All American midfielder and attributes her love of athletics and the outdoors to soccer. She has served on the boards of Youth Venture Seattle and Changing Lives Nepal. Prior to Amazon, Kerry was a senior talent officer at Bridgewater Associates and a senior manager in the mergers and acquisitions department at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA. Kerry has a marketing and business development background, having worked for small businesses in Seattle and, before moving to the Pacific Northwest, led the outdoor sports marketing efforts at Berkeley based and leading energy bar maker, Clif Bar. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, she spent a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer, working as the head case manager and intake counselor at the Center for HIV/AIDS in Oakland, CA.

Mila Yankova, Secretary

Mila Yankova fell in love with football in 1993 when her native home of Bulgaria qualified for the World Cup. Against all odds, the country finished 4th bringing a ray of light to a turbulent, divided society. As a true New Yorker, Mila believes that all children living in New York City should be given a chance to succeed. She has over ten years of experience on Wall Street, currently selling emerging markets equities at Barclays. She attended the University of Chicago on a full scholarship where she received a Bachelor's degree in Economics. She has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring recent immigrant students. Mila joined the Board of Directors in 2015.
