Boys Travel Teams

For the 2012-2013 Season, about 100 boys will participate on five travel teams:

Under 12 Boys: South Bronx United 00 La Furia Azul
Under 14 Boys: South Bronx United 98
Under 15 Boys: South Bronx United 97 Strikers
Under 17 Boys: South Bronx United 95 Blue Devils
Under 19 Boys: South Bronx United 93 Sonics

Teams train and compete all year round, including Fall and Spring seasons in the Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League, affiliated with US Youth Soccer.

The primary goal of the program is to use soccer as a vehicle to help Bronx youth succeed in school, attend college, and develop strong character. The program gives players the opportunity to travel outside their neighborhoods, as they play throughout New York City and beyond, including the Eastern New York State Cup.

Players must attend the After School Tutoring Program and College Prep Program activities and complete Community Service.

On the field, skill and character development is emphasized over winning. Helping prepare youth for the future--whether they will be on soccer field, in the classroom, in the workplace, or in their communities--is the top priority.

Accomplishments as of 2011-2012:
- One full-ride college athletic scholarship received to date.
- Travel Teams awarded 16 trophies to date.
- Hosts the South Bronx United College Showcase every April.
