Jessica Melo
Volunteer Program Manager
Jessica Melo joined SBU as the Volunteer Program Manager in 2024. She has worked in the volunteer engagement space since 2019. Her previous roles were at Make-A-Wish Metro New York as a volunteer associate and at Girl Scouts of Greater New York as a volunteer and troop specialist. Jessica was also an elementary school teacher in New York City in the Bronx and Queens. She is a proud SUNY Oswego graduate with a degree in Childhood Education- English. When not at SBU, she enjoys exploring the city and is learning Spanish. Jess is based in Queens and is already feeling at home in the Bronx.
