#PowerOf11

South Bronx United has announced its 10th Anniversary #PowerOf11 Campaign to spread awareness and raise funds for its youth programming. The campaign will officially run from June 1 through June 11th, sharing stories from 11 different youth participants. Our goal is to $100,000 for SBU programming serving South Bronx, immigrant, and first-generation youth. Join the campaign by giving $11 or more at powerof11.southbronxunited.org. Become a Team Captain by committing to get 11 people to donate at least $11. Follow @southbronxunited on social media to stay in touch with the campaign.

SBU's 9th Annual Literacy Day was held on Saturday, May 4th. More than 2,500 books were given away to South Bronx youth and families at Macombs Dam Field, Mullaly Park, and Patterson Park. Thanks to The Book Fairies, Lisa Libraries, Coughlan Companies / Capstone, and Penguin Random House for their donations! All SBU Recreational Program participants also joined in reading groups on soccer themed books before their games. See photos from the day.

South Bronx United's half day summer camp is open for in person or online registration. The camp is open to children entering grades 1-6 (birth years 2008-2013) from July 8 to August 16. Families can register their child for one week at a time or for the full week program. For more details, click here. The camp is partially supported by the Laura B. Vogler Foundation. Priority is given to South Bronx residents and current SBU program participants.
