All members of the SBU Academy Class of 2018 have committed to college, at institutions ranging from SUNY Binghamton to St. Peter's University to Mercersburg Academy Boarding School (Post-Graduate year). Soccer ID Clinics are a chance for youth to participate in a higher level training session. Participating youth might also be invited to attend a future Travel or Select Soccer Team training.

South Bronx United is launching its 2018 #POWEROF11 campaign to bring awareness to the organization's mission and to raise funds to grow SBU programs in the next year. Learn more about the campaign or contribute any amount starting at $11 at or watch the kickoff video. Or help spread the word by becoming a Team Captain! ENYPL BU19 Champs

The SBU 99/00 Boys team won the East New York Premier League (ENYPL) Boys U19 championship this month. As a result, they also qualified for the semifinals of the East New York State Cup. These student-athletes have also been delivering in the classroom as many prepare to graduate high school in June. Read more at

On Saturday, May 5th 2018, families and community members came together to take part of South Bronx United’s 8th Annual Literacy Day. The day is rooted on the three pillars of SBU: academics, leadership and athletics. The day began with coaches for each age group reading featured soccer themed books to their players. SBU Academy youth leaders also helped facilitate reading groups and led discussions after. Reading circles promoted the joy of reading and used soccer stories to illuminate similar themes that are relevant in their own lives. More than 2,000 books were on hand at three program sites for children and families to take home. Read more.
