Amy Harris
Coach-Mentor Program Coordinator
Amy joined SBU in 2024 and serves as the Girls Advancement Coordinator and a Full-Time Coach-Mentor. She previously worked at Mathematica where she researched the efficacy of public policy initiatives and was first introduced to Positive Youth Development. As part of her commitment to getting and keeping girls in the game, Amy coaches the girls U14 Academy team and runs the Girls Leadership League, a program for middle school girls looking to gain leadership and soccer skills. She has her USSF D coaching license and is collaborating with US Soccer and Women in Soccer to create more inclusive pathways to becoming a licensed coach. She inherited a Leicester City and England national team fanship and loves to go to Gotham and Swarthmore College Women’s Soccer games when she can. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Swarthmore, where she majored in Economics and Political Science and captained the women’s soccer team.
