Leslie Villegas serves as the Manager of Volunteer Relations at South Bronx United (SBU). A proud alumna of the organization, she began her involvement with SBU in 2016 as a participant in the Recreational Soccer program and later joined the SBU Academy in 2018.
Throughout her years as a participant, Leslie benefited from the guidance and support of dedicated volunteers who contributed significantly to her athletic, academic, and personal development. From coaches who fostered her growth on the field to mentors who provided ongoing encouragement and support, these relationships played an important role in shaping her educational journey and future aspirations.
Drawing on her firsthand experience with the transformative impact of volunteerism, Leslie now leads SBU's volunteer relations efforts. In this role, she oversees volunteer engagement, recruitment, and retention initiatives, helping to ensure that volunteers are well-supported and equipped to contribute meaningfully to the organization's mission. Through her work, Leslie is committed to strengthening the volunteer experience and advancing the opportunities available to the young people and families served by South Bronx United.
